Salome Raheim, Ph.D., ACSW is passionate about actualizing the depths of human potential for caring, compassion, connection, healing, and justice.A social work educator, leadership coach, organizational consultant, and certified mindfulness instructor, she has traveled across the United States and to four continents to work with schools, universities, nonprofit organizations, and businesses. A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. Raheim holds the Ph.D. in Communication Studies from the University of Iowa, MSW from Catholic University of America, MA in Integrative Health and Healing from theGraduate Institute, and BSW from Bowie State University. She is Dean Emeritus at the University ofConnecticut School of Social Work, and Professor Emeritus at the University at Albany—SUNY School ofSocial Welfare. Dr. Raheim received the NASW Pioneer Award in 2015.
