Director of Education and Training / Resilience

Maggie Arthur (she/they) is the Director of Education and Training at Resilience, a Chicago not-for-profit dedicated to the healing and empowerment of sexual assault survivors. In addition to facilitating prevention education, Maggie worked to raise awareness of and steward prevention efforts to end sexual violence in the music community while holding the title of Campaign Coordinator for the Our Music My Body campaign from 2018-2021.

Maggie has over fourteen years of experience supporting survivors of both intimate partner violence and sexual violence in a variety of roles both in Chicago and in Bloomington, Indiana. She holds a BFA in photography and a BA in journalism from Indiana University as well as a Master of Social Work from the University of Illinois, Chicago’s Jane Addams College of Social Work.

Maggie idolizes Dolly Parton, reads voraciously, listens to heavy metal, relishes in bringing people together, and is led by the principles of disability justice and her belief that a future without violence is possible.
